Tails will be wagging when Braselton digs in for its 4th Annual Pooches in the Park Saturday, September 28 from 10am to 6pm at Braselton Park on Harrison Street. So, Sit, Stay, & Play with us in Downtown Braselton!
Plan to bring the entire pack (dogs, kids, friends, friend's dogs, friend's kids, dog's friends, etc.)
**Rover on Over Marketplace - Sniff out some fun new accessories for Fido or meet some local pooch service providers such as vets, groomers and boarders. With top notch vendors lined up, we’ll have everything covered from puppy’s head to his toe nails. **See the list of our vendors below.
**Howl About Some Contests – Sign up for the pup strut costume contest where contestants parade their well-dressed pooches around the arena. (Extra points if human is in costume too!) We’ll also be looking for the longest lasting kiss, balancing act, best dog trick and funny dog noises. Stop by the pavilion at the park (near the playground) to sign up. No charge to participate, spaces are limited, prizes awarded. Times for events and contests will be posted later.
**Run, Run, Run over to the park for the Lure Course - Here, dogs chase a mechanized, plastic lure around a course, zig-zagging around. It’s fast paced and fun to watch! Give it a try for a small donation benefiting the Humane Society of Jackson County. Hosted by Rotten Dog Sports Lodge and Great Rescue Dogs.
**Smile! And bring your camera – we’ll have some fun photo ops designed just for your pooch.
**Wolf down some good eats - there will be plenty of treats for the pups, but when your human pack gets hungry, our food truck den will tame everyone’s cravings. Located by the tennis courts.
**Wet Nose Water Lounge – does your dog dig water? There will be pools to cool off and have some fun near the Community Center.
**Adorable Adoptables – several rescue groups will be on site with pups & kittens waiting for a fur-ever home. Caution! Be ready for some heartwarming sweetness.
**New this year! Dixie Dock Dogs are splashing down in Braselton!
DockDogs® canine aquatics competitions will begin Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday. “Waves” of competition will be held throughout each day. Spectators are welcome to watch dogs of all kinds and skill levels compete in various water jumping competitions. But that’s not all. If you have a budding DockDogs® star, your canine companion will have the opportunity to explore his or her skills at dock diving too.
Pre-registration begins at 9am Saturday
Your Dog Can Do This starts at 10am Saturday
